In the year 1990, while our founder was still a student, his grandmother was critically ill and needed immediate surgical intervention. But the procedure was unduly delayed for lack of quality sutures. And behold, access to these sutures was very difficult and only one medical device company could provide them! This memorable experience haunted the founder and remained playing in his mind until 2001 when he decided to create Gima-Bambot Healthcare Ltd., his contribution to ameliorating healthcare service in Cameroon.
Gima-Bambot Healthcare Ltd., a medical device company, was created in 2001 to solve the acute problem of limited availability of hi-tech medical devices and provide training, education and consulting as support services. The first two years were devoted to research and mastering of treatment processes with particular focus on physicians and nurses on their lives-saving jobs.
Gima-Bambot Healthcare Ltd., went fully operational in March, 2003, in partnership with the B. Braun Group. Today, Gima-Bambot Healthcare Ltd., is a systems and solutions suplier of world-class medical devices in challenging disciplines like Surgical Technology, Closure Technology, Traumatology, Neurosurgery, Spine Surgery, Cardiac Surgery, Cardiology, Pain Therapy, Infusion Therapy, Infection Prevention, Continence Care & Urology and Dialysis.
Gima-Bambot Healthcare Ltd., aims at resolving problems in hospitals, providing a platform for the continuous education and training of physicians and nurses on the latest and relevant medical devices, guaranteeing their unlimited availability, as well as creating sustained and strategic partnerships in a bid to add value to the healthcare system. Healthcare providers are our strategic partners in this long unending journey, and our common goal is better patient outcome.
